University hospitals play a leading role in the implementation of new knowledge in the acute care sector. The LORE research group enables medico-social institutions to take on this role, which is similar to that of university hospitals. The LORE research group supports the development of nursing care in nursing homes by implementing knowledge. Motto: ‘from knowledge to action’ through the action of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) who have a dual profile as researchers and nursing experts APN-CH.
The LORE research group promotes the development of nursing care through clinical research in medico-social institutions, to continuously improve and adapt person-centred practices, in order to guarantee evidence-based care for the residents. This person-centred approach makes it a priority to ensure and improve the safety of residents, as well as psychological safety and collaboration between healthcare professionals and relatives. Psychological safety, in particular, contributes to staff retention.
In order to enable nursing homes to call on APN-CH nursing experts from the LORE research group, it is possible to partially co-finance their intervention through interRAI.
