Simulation Centre

Contacts, documents, links, and more

Following the expansion of the facilities of the HES-SO Bachelor’s programme in Osteopathy at the St-Justin site, four simulation rooms have been installed. Debriefing and observation rooms complete the facility.

The centre recreates a clinical practice environment and enables teaching staff, on the one hand, to complement their teaching with simulation sessions related to professional practice and, on the other, to expose students to complex situations in a safe and supportive setting.

The simulation scenarios enable students to develop their skills by actively participating in the sessions or by observing them. Throughout the sessions, students experience moments of satisfaction and achievement, as well as hesitation, uncertainty and mistakes, in an environment that is always constructive and supportive. These simulated learning activities are followed by dedicated debriefing sessions, ensuring that every experience becomes an opportunity for learning.

State-of-the-art cameras and microphones enable the technical staff and observers to closely follow the simulations. Technical support is also available to assist with the use of this equipment.

The rooms can also be used for other activities of the programme, such as continuing education, professional services and research.
