ACT for your health – ACT for health
The InnoSanté HUB is a complementary service dedicated to prevention, health promotion and supporting people in their day-to-day healthcare journey. It provides an easy and accessible point of entry for guiding and supporting individuals as they navigate the challenges of the healthcare system, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and an ageing population.
The InnoSanté HUB is open to anyone with questions or concerns about their health. It offers health assessments and personalised interventions to help everyone take care of their health at their own pace.
How can I live better with a chronic disease? Have I correctly understood my doctor’s recommendations? How can I integrate a treatment into my daily life? At the HUB, these questions can be asked freely. Staff and students take the time to listen, explain and, where necessary, work with patients to consider possible adjustments to their lifestyle.
Osteopathic consultations complement the services offered, as part of a holistic and integrated approach that contributes to well-being, strengthens people’s capacity to take action and helps mobilise their resources.
The InnoSanté HUB is a teaching clinic where future healthcare professionals put their skills at the service of the population. Students from the Bachelor’s programme in Nursing and the Master’s programme in Osteopathy at the School of Health Sciences Fribourg (Heds FR), as well as students from the Master’s programme in Health Psychology at the University of Fribourg (Unifr), are supervised by teaching staff and supervisors.

Bernard was finding it increasingly difficult to get around on his own and was avoiding public transport for fear of falling. The assessment of his abilities enabled him to express his difficulties, and he was referred to a somatic and psychological support service to help him regain confidence and independence.
Arnaud had recently been diagnosed with a chronic disease and felt overwhelmed. Through personalised support, he learned to use a symptom diary, gained a better understanding of his treatment and learned about effective non-pharmacological approaches to managing his fatigue and stress. He was then put in contact with a patient association so that he would not have to face the disease alone.
Léo cried frequently and slept very little. His parents were exhausted and worried. Releasing bodily tensions and providing targeted support helped them better understand his needs and adjust his sleep routines. They also received practical advice on positioning and carrying techniques to ease his discomfort. The atmosphere at home improved considerably and family fatigue decreased.
Manon, who was four months pregnant, was suffering from lower back pain and felt restricted in her movements. She received appropriate advice on staying active safely, adjusted her posture and was referred to a specialised midwife to complement her care.
Nadia was performing repetitive movements at work without realising it, which eventually caused pain in her right shoulder. After an analysis of her work-related movements and the tensions they caused, targeted ergonomic advice and active breaks incorporated into her schedule helped relieve her pain.
Lin was living with chronic pain that affected her sleep and work. An osteopathic examination and an analysis of her daily life helped identify aggravating factors. She implemented simple strategies to better manage her pain and regain a better balance in her daily life.
